  • The Role:
    Building a web2 based workflow system to enable us to track and monitor the data flowing through the payroll system from the start to finish. In other words the workflow must match the payroll process. The workflow will encompass controls in order for the firm to achieve SAS70 Type II and must also be able to interface with the payroll system. Last, but not least, the system must be scalable both horizontally (tasks) as well as vertically (users and clients) and be built with the user in mind. It should give the user an easy and intuitive interface on par with Google and Facebook.

  • The Person:
    - Web 2 & workflow specialist who can demonstrate having gone through more than one lifecycle on a web based workflow product
    - An independent self starter who is able to work with architects, users as well as web designers, payroll
    - Able to put himself in the shoes of the users – end user focused design
    - Willing to learn about the payroll processes and controls
    - Someone who can listen, understand and pro-actively contribute to the architecture and design discussions
    - Can demonstrate his ability to design a workflow tool en par with the Facebook, Google, best of breed web experiences
    - Create an open system which can be easily changed on the basis of company requirements and user experiences
    - Be able to help select the best platforms tools or build from scratch
    - Be an advocate for the new system and be able to train new users and be a pro active positive and constructive part of cultural change management


  • Technical Knowledge:
    Essential
    - Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    - Microsoft Excel Functions and Formulas
    - OLE DB (Object Linking and Embedding, Database)
    - XML-based Language(s)
    - ASP .Net
